For nearly 30 years, I've had the privilege of helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life's challenges with confidence and hope. I founded Stepping Stones Psychotherapy & Wellness to create a warm, welcoming space where every client feels seen, supported, and understood.
My work is rooted in the belief that behavior is communication and that healing happens through safe, connected relationships. I specialize in play therapy, sand tray therapy, nervous-system-informed care, and evidence-based approaches that help clients build emotional regulation, resilience, and healthier relationships.
Whether I'm working with a young child experiencing anxiety, a teen struggling with overwhelming emotions, or a parent looking for guidance, my goal is the same—to help individuals and families move forward with greater confidence, connection, and lasting change.
Outside the therapy room, I'm passionate about supporting my community, mentoring clinicians, and continually expanding my knowledge to provide the highest quality care.

I specialize in anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, and family relationships. Through play therapy, sand tray therapy, nervous-system-informed care, and parent collaboration, I help children, teens, adults, and families develop resilience, strengthen connections, and create lasting positive change.

Choosing a therapist for your child or family is a deeply personal decision. The relationship you build with your therapist matters — it creates the foundation for growth, trust, and lasting change.
With over 29 years of experience in the mental health field, I provide thoughtful mental health support with steadiness and perspective in my work with children, adolescents, and families. I specialize in trauma-informed therapy and play therapy for toddlers, children, and teens navigating anxiety, emotional dysregulation, grief, and family transitions.
My approach integrates play therapy techniques, sand tray therapy, and nervous-system-informed strategies to support regulation, expression, and resilience. Through developmentally appropriate methods, children are given space to communicate in the language they know best — play. In a calm and structured environment, they can safely express big feelings, process difficult experiences, and build the skills they need to feel more secure and confident.
I believe behavior is communication. Beneath emotional outbursts or withdrawal is often a child who feels overwhelmed. Rather than judging behaviors, we work to understand them — and to strengthen a child’s capacity for regulation, connection, and self-awareness.
Parents are essential partners in this process. I provide compassionate, practical guidance rooted in respectful, relationship-based principles so that progress in the therapy room carries into everyday life. When parents feel supported and empowered, change becomes more sustainable at home.
My style is steady, attuned, and collaborative. I strive to create a space where children feel safe, parents feel understood, and every family feels respected.
If you are seeking experienced, thoughtful care grounded in connection and clinical expertise, particularly in trauma-informed therapy and play therapy, I would be honored to support your family.
